Grave Dreams' Biography

It was in 1990 when Artur was invited to play guitar in a "High-School" Metal Band which was named as ThunderSteel. This band lasted for less than half a year. Two years later, September 1992, Artur (who was 16) took his brother Jordi (15 y.o.) and founded their very first own band: Odyssey. They need to complete the line-up and then David (guitar) and Alexis (bass) joined the band. The initial idea of this band was to play Heavy Metal, taking influencies from Helloween's "Helloween" and Accept's "Breaker" or "Restless and Wild", but David was a guitarist who could not play a chord and his music style was very different from the central idea. So the bad split up on Feb. 1993.

March 1993. Jordi and Artur started to play in a Punk-Rock project. Beside this, the Brothers were writting and rehearsing alone their new Metal songs. They were times for a Musical renewal. Artur and Jordi decided to make an effort in make a step forward in Metal Evolution. It was time for Grave Dreams.

Artur had always been interested in occultism, parapsicology, UFO and rare phenomena. So the idea was brought on. Grave Dreams: a Death/Doom Metal band which every song would be a horror tale, every song would be a nightmare, a "grave dream". Why not? it was a very good start point. Put together King Diamond's lyrics, Black Sabbath's rythms and Death's vocals with Artur and Jordi's poor teen performance, and the result is GRAVE DREAMS.

During the next5 years Artur and Jordi wrote and recorded several Demos:

1993 Dreaming in the Grave
1994 The Feast of Fear
1995 A Land in Nowhere
1996 This House
1997 The Key

In 1998 the brothers made up their minds to change their style and approaching it to a more classical influence and then the Doom Metal era passed away.
